Tenants

At Red Key we want to make your move as smooth as possible and to help you find the right home that you will be happy in.

Below is an idea of what is required to let a property through Red Key:

v  When you register with us we will match your requirements to a suitable property and will accompany you on viewings

v  Once you have found a property you wish to take you will need to put a Holding Deposit down to secure the property from the market

v  We will require photographic ID and proof of address from all applicants who take a tenancy through us

v  Referencing will be undertaken and your employer and previous landlord where applicable will be contacted and a Credit Search will be done

v  Once satisfactory references have been obtained we will arrange a move in date for all tenants to come and sign the tenancy agreement

v  The move in monies consist of a months rent, a security deposit normally equivalent to a month and half rent and administration fees for the tenancy agreement, referencing and Inventory check in less the holding deposit already paid.

v  On the move in day the balance of monies will be paid in cleared funds

v  An Inventory Check In will normally be carried out for you to agree to the condition of the property as this will be important when you come to leave and negotiations are under way for the return of the deposit.

v  The Deposit will be held by us as a Stakeholder in the majority of cases and will be protected under the rules of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme to which we are members.

v  We will require a Standing Order to be completed for the monthly rent payments

v  We recommend that you contact the utility suppliers and local authority to arrange for these to be put in your name for the duration of the tenancy

v  We recommend that you take out Contents Insurance for your belongings for the term of the tenancy
